Bringt BMW jetzt im nächsten Jahr eine Leisungssteigerung für den S ab Werk?
Wenn ja, ist das die gleiche wie das ominöse WORKS KIT?
Wie teuer?
Welche Umbauten konkret?
Leistung Durchzug Beschleunigung?
Ich will ALLES wissen! wer weiß was?

für 4500€ ???
nee....das muss nicht sein...die garantie hab ich beim chip auch und den kriegste für 450€ aufwärts :)

das jcw tuning kit für den s ist ab januar verfügbar!
kostenpunkt: knappe 30.000,00€ für den jcw - mcs!
kostenpunkt nur für die 37ps mehr leistung: 5700€ !!!!!!

Im Schweizer Forum iss ja einer, der hat 225PS! Redet aber leider nicht viel mit Big oder mir :(
Er hat nämlich immer noch nicht auf unsere Fragen bezgl. des tunings geantwortet!

es handelt sich hierbei um das bmw/jcw kit, d.h dass die garantie des wagens nicht erlischt (kann man für knappe 6000€ aber auch erwarten, oder :) )

Ähm, den Sprung von 4500 auf 5700 hab ich noch nicht ganz verstanden. vielleicht sind´s ja auch noch keine endgültigen Preise! ist echt ganz schön happig!
Wurde denn schon gemunkelt, was verändert wird?
Tippe mal auf Luftfilter, chip und Auspuff! sonstiges?
Dürfte dann aber bei maximal 2000€ liegen!
Vielleicht iss bei dem Preis ja auch noch allradantrieb drin? :lol:

4500€ war ja auch erst mal eine grobe richtung :)

Mal im ernst, das sind ja schon etwas umfangreichere Arbeiten. Schätze mal 250€ wären gerechtfertigt! BMW, tragt mich ein zu einem Preis von max 2.500€
Gibt´s denn auch umfangreichere Angaben über beschleunigung und durchzug?
Ok, manche interessiert auch die Höchstgeschwindigkeit.
Mir reichen eigentlich 220 - 230 wenn sie nur etwas zügiger erreicht würden! :)

wie wollen die das denn machen?
das wenigste was ich bis jetzt gesehen hab bei nem tuner sind 7 s.
ich kann das nicht recht glauben.

die 6 sek. sind vermutlich ähnlich optimistische "werksangaben" wie bei der serienversion: die 7,4 sek wurden bis jetzt noch in keinem Test erreicht

ot hatch fans have never had it so good! With the Ford Focus RS, SEAT Leon Cupra R and Honda Civic Type R already available, plus Vauxhall's Astra GSi on its way, there's almost too much choice. But deciding what to buy is about to become a lot harder - with the arrival of the 200bhp MINI Cooper S Works. And Auto Express can exclusively reveal that the new model will be available from January, priced £18,000.
Developed by legendary British tuning specialist John Cooper Works, the car follows on from its hot version of the MINI Cooper, which we drove in issue 681. The newcomer's appeal is simple - take a standard £14,500 Cooper S and add a performance upgrade kit to increase the 163bhp to a more potent 200bhp. As with the Cooper Works, customers will be able to specify the package with their new motor or have it fitted at a later date. Either way, the extra 37hbp will cost around £3,500 - but it promises to be money well spent, as the power hike will slash the car's 0-60mph sprint time from 7.4 to only six seconds.
The legendary company is not your average tuner, either, as it has an even longer heritage than the MINI brand. Based in West Sussex, it has been involved in racing since 1940, and its modifications transformed the original Mini from city runabout into a giant-killing race winner in the Sixties. BMW has also involved the firm closely with the development of the current MINI range, and gives its blessing to the Works tuning packages.
As a result, the modifications are extensive, but very professionally installed. Great care has been taken by John Cooper Works to create the optimum blend of performance increase without compromising reliability. A spokesman for the company told us: "We use proper mechanical modifications to generate the improved performance, and don't simply 'chip' the car. The changes will be similar to those seen on

the current MINI Cooper Works, although this model will be more expensive as the power hike is greater."

The modifications to the engine boost maximum torque from 210Nm to a very impressive 253Nm. Visually, the customer can decide on the extent of the styling changes, but most buyers are expected to opt for the Works bodykit, which is closely based on the MINI's Aero pack, already available as an option on the standard Cooper S.
Another downside of modifications is that the standard manufacturer warranty is normally invalidated - but not so with this new model, as the upgrade kit will be approved by BMW.

Richtig, ich glaube darüber wurde auch im engl. Forum gesprochen.
Vielleicht ist das Works kit auch nur deshalb so teuer, weil die Scheibenwischer umgebaut werden müssen!
Hm, wischen die Scheibenwischer eigentlich bei rechts- und linkslenkern gleich? hab ich noch nie drauf geachtet! :roll:

die info stimmt ausserdem nicht ganz, da es schon seit mehr als einem halben jahr das "john cooper works kit" für den mini cooper gibt!

interessant ist das bild: DAS ist der digi-tec mcs -> zu erkennen am chromgrill und der bbs-felge. dieses bild ist jetzt nur spiegelverkehrt und mit englischer nummer versehen worden. wahrscheinlich von AUTO EXPRESS schwester AUTO BILD übernommen, als die 4x mcs tuning test gemacht haben!
Wo ist denn der Tankdeckel ?!

Nee, die Info stimmt schon, denn MINI wird über org. Zubehör (!) KEIN Kit für den ONE oder den COOER anbieten.
Das JWC über sich selbst dies anbietet, ist klar.
Ein von JWC entwickeltes Leistungs-Kit wird es von MINI direkt nur für den COOPER S geben, ab April 2003.
Genau wie ein sehr schönes org. MINI 18" LM-Rad...
Sieht super aus, es darf aber z.Zt. noch nicht visuell (also via Foto) publiziert werden. Größe: 205/40 R 18 RSC
